This heavy duty cast iron outboard rest unit is designed to provide rock steady chisel support for all larger turning work up to 29" (740mm) in diameter.
The arm system articulates out to give adequate clearance from the spindle for work with a thickness up to 8.5"(215mm).
The arm articulates through a wide arc, and the toolrest post can be locked along the length of the arm to allow for all shapes and sizes of woodturning including rim turning.
The unit is easily bolted in place at the end of the headstock bed casting and requires no more room allowance than the normal lathe because the unit is designed to be used with the Nova 3000's and DVR's swivel headstock in front of the lathe.
Bed Extension 55195
This bed extension increases the overall lenght of the N3000 & DVR lathe by 20" or 510mm each extension. These extensions are doweled & Bolted together to give you a strong joint. You can attatch as many extensions as you like to suit the purpose of your work.
Please note these extensions fit the old Nova and DVR beds.
The DVRXP uses a different shape bed section
Cast Iron Stand 25054
The NOVA Cast Iron Stand provides rock solid stability for all NOVA lathes.
Made from high quality cast iron, with interchangeable leg sections, this stand is the perfect companion to both the Nova 1624 and the Nova XP DVR lathes
Dependable Performance. Solid cast iron upper section, CAD designed and tested for optimum strength. The stand pieces are cast from a high grade cast iron with solid section thickness and CAD generated gussets at critical points., designed to withstand extremely high stresses with practically no distortion
Compact for easier mobility and set up, but sturdy enough to cope with the big capacity the NOVA 1624 & DVR XP has – 29” bowls (with optional outrigger accessory) and 44” between centres (with optional accessory extension bed)
Strong robust feet for confident mounting to the floor with provisions for jacking bolts to level on uneven surfaces.
360° Access to the Workpiece – the stand allows complete access to the working area.
Extra strength for BIG work if required. Holes in feet so the stand can be bolted to floor avoiding any 'walking' when roughing or turning large out of balance work .
Easy Clean. No collection area under lathe for sawdust build-up. Sawdust drops straight to floor
Easy Asembly access of bolts both to the lathe and legs

Woodsurfer Bowlrest 9006

Designed Specifically for Bowl Turning. CAD designed and thoroughly user tested , the curved shape optimises performance of the chisel when turning bowls.
Solid 1”/25mm Shank. Provides a rock solid platform for turning. Industry standard 1”/25mm shank means that the NOVA Woodsurfer™ Bowl Rest will fit other lathes.
Toolrest 100mm TR100/1
Toolrest 100mm long, with the solid 1" shank. Handy for smaller work when you don't want a toolrest to get in the way.
